This is the first in a series of Machine Learning courses.
So, if you want to study Machine Learning, you’ve come to the perfect spot. We’d start with the fundamentals. Then we’d go into more sophisticated things.
Prerequisites
The course assumes you fall into one of the following groups.
You have a background in science.
Or perhaps you are interested in Artificial Intelligence.
Or perhaps you are an enthusiast who want to master machine learning.
You might also work as a coder.
You have a background in finance, accounting, or economics.
You want to use machine learning or financial modeling.
Someone who enjoys difficulties
Someone who enjoys mathematics
So, if any of the following apply to you, fasten your seat belts.
The Structure of This Tutorial
Weekly Lesson: A lesson would be given once or twice a week. Each lesson would be accompanied by a related video lesson.
Practical Session: We would conduct a practical session utilizing any of the tools we would define after each period (say, every two weeks).
Interaction: It is expected that everyone will pay close attention. If something is unclear, please leave a comment under the lesson. So you may get the help you need before the next lesson.
Quiz and Homework: You will be given a quiz or homework on a regular basis. Make sure to complete it as soon as possible.
Applications Required
To obtain Python and Jupyter Notebook, please download and install Anaconda. Anaconda is a Python distribution that includes Jupyter Notebook. It is completely free. In case you’re unfamiliar, Jupyter notebook is a Python tool for creating machine learning models. Anaconda may be downloaded here.
R-Studio (Optional): I recommend downloading and installing RStudio. The free version is available. It’s a competitor to Python and Jupyter Notebook, albeit Python has more features. However, because R-Studio is lightweight, I would advocate include it in your system. Some R-Studio activities help to clarify things. You may get RSudio here.
ML.NET (for.Net programmers): If you’re a.Net programmer, you’ll need to understand how to install ML.Net to your Visual Studio project using Nugget Package Manager. We’d go over this later anyhow.
MatLAB (Optional): If you want to get to the heart of every course, you need also have MatLAB. Or perhaps you wish to pursue a career in Data Science.
Some Machine Learning Tips
There have been various Machine Learning classes that I have created. I propose that you read them in your spare time. However, we would progressively go through all of the prior lessons I had created.
