As the Year 1 OMM Course Director at Campbell University, Dr. Marta Bringhurst is an assistant professor in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences is where she earned her medical degree. She trained in both family medicine and osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Ohio’s Firelands Regional Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, respectively. Dr. Bringhurst is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy’s Board of Trustees and the President and CEO of Girl Med Media, Inc.

Dr. Charles J. Smutny III is a member of the faculty of the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he teaches osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine. He has a fellowship in the American Academy of Osteopathy and is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. From 1994–1999, he studied as an undergraduate fellow in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He is licensed in acupuncture from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine in 2001 and has a Certificate of Proficiency in Cranial Osteopathy. Currently, Dr. Smutny is a Trustee for the North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association.
