In 1956 he entered Takushoku University. In November of the same year, he began to study at the Aikido Hombu Dojo. After graduation, he worked for the New Lifestyle Athletic Association for 7 years. In 1967 he became a staff member of the Aikikai. Director of the General Department of the Aikikai in Hombudozo. Permanent Director of the All Japan Aikido Federation. Bakas Peter Arthur Hubert (Peter AH BACAS), 6th dan of Aikido Aikikai, (16.03.1938 – 26.02.2006) .
Before he started to practice aikido, he studied taijutsu, taekwondo, jujutsu. His aikido teachers were Tamura Sensei, Kanetsuka Sensei, then Fujita Sensei, whom he followed for over 30 years. In recent years, Bakas Sensei served as the Secretary General of the IPAAF (International Organization for the Development and Dissemination of Aikido Aikikai) and, together with Fujita Sensei, oversaw the work of aikido organizations in the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Republic of Tatarstan.
