Session Objectives

Describe ICHD-3 classification of migraine and who should be on a preventative treatment and/or acute therapy.
Explain the migraine preventative class known as CGRP mabs.
Summarize the new acute migraine therapies, the medication classes known as “geparts” and the “ditans.”

Dr. Donnelly is a board certified headache specialist and women’s neurologist at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Fellowship in Headache Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
