Michael Hall, Ph.D. is an entrepreneur who resides in Western Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. He had a private counseling practice for 20 years and an NLP Training Center for 10 years. He developed various NLP and Neuro-Semantic models, notably The Meta-States Model, after shifting to modeling expertise in the early 1990s. Dr. Hall studied and collaborated with Bandler, publishing numerous publications for him and about NLP, including The Spirit of NLP (1996), Becoming More Ferocious as a Presenter, Time for a Change, and others.
Dr. Hall earned his PhD in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology from Union Institute University in Cincinnati, Ohio. His dissertation investigated the languaging of four psychotherapies (NLP, RET, Reality Therapy, and Logotherapy) using General Semantics formulations. He presented a combination of NLP with General Semantics at the Interdisciplinary International Conference in 1995. His master’s degree was in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and his bachelor’s degree was in Human Resource Management. He previously earned a Master’s degree in Biblical Literature and Language.
Dr. Hall is a prolific writer who has produced 58 books, 30 serial books, and over 100 published papers. He is also a top NLP Trainer and Developer. The most prominent model is the Meta-States Model, which is also known as the Matrix Model, Axes of Change, and so on. In 1996, Michael co-founded Neuro-Semantics® with Dr. Bob Bodenhamer as a discipline focusing on meaning and performance.
Dr. Hall has completed 27 modeling projects as a modeler of expertise, including modeling resilience, self-reflexive consciousness, “thinking,” communication excellence, sales, persuasion, accelerated learning, wealth creation, women in leadership, fitness and health, cultures, leadership, collaboration, and more.
