Mike Rhodes – Agency Savvy
Archive : Mike Rhodes – Agency Savvy
In early 2015, I launched a pilot initiative to assist a few select agencies in scaling up. Big.
Ten courageous people accepted the challenge and advanced through the selection process. The outcomes for eight of those ten are nothing short of spectacular and, to be honest, extremely humbling. Those that put in the effort, took action, and determined that now was the time to become serious have enjoyed the benefits.
We are now making all of the contents of that pilot program available to you because I want additional agencies to experience the same clarity, increased skills, and renewed confidence that those eight agency owners now have. That is what I want for you.
…Big Things Grow
WebSavvy (my agency) has developed from a kitchen-table concept to a globally-respected, sought-after firm with 10 full-time and 7 part-time people in the last 8 years.
As an E-Myth Consultant, I learned the value of systems and applied them in my company. We have mechanisms in place for hiring, onboarding clients, generating webinars, and so on.
I founded AgencySavvy to share the mentality, concepts, and thinking behind all of those processes, so you can grow your agency to a seven-figure business (if that’s what you want).
So, what exactly is included?
Let’s start with what isn’t included since I want to be clear – I’m not going to offer you copies of all of my systems!
If I did it, this course would cost between $50,000 and $100,000.
What the course does cover is training for you (and your team) to build and expand the four important elements of your agency: mentality, team, processes, and clients.
It’s based on my “Project Hourglass” – the model I wish someone had given me years ago – and is the product of a LOT of thought, trial and error, hard effort, and, yes, tears!
Project Hourglass is, at its heart, a framework for building a firm for the twenty-first century. We go into great detail. I discuss what has worked and, more crucially (in my opinion), what hasn’t.
There are eleven modules…
MINDSET is the first module.
This sets up the coming tasks. We’ll talk about how to learn and the differences between Mastery and Frameworks. Learn about Leverage, Focus, and other topics. You will go through an activity to gain intense clarity about your beliefs and ambitions. And I’ll ask that you take action on them on a daily basis.
10-80-10 – Module 2
As much as I adore the 80/20 rule and the power it provides, I believe this is the missing link in 80/20 thinking. We’ll go through how to utilize the 10-80-10 framework to significantly free up your time and focus on the job where you can provide the most value.
Module 3: Task Filtering and Mentoring:
The following two components of the Project Hourglass structure are crammed into a single module to assist you understand which activities to delegate. You’ll do a ‘activity audit’ and rank your present workload on a custom scale. Learning how to delegate effectively has been extremely beneficial to my business, and I’m confident you’ll see similar benefits.
Module 4 – Talent Acquisition
An in-depth look at our step-by-step hiring process. I’d employed some extremely bad folks before I started utilizing this approach! Which is not only stupid, but also possibly very costly for the company. I no longer make those mistakes because I employ wisely. This lesson describes the system as well as providing relevant interview questions and job advertisements that you can copy and paste.
Automation is covered in Module 5.
When it comes to the technology that the agency operates on, I’ve tried it all: Basecamp, Trello, Asana, Nutshell – we finally landed on Podio, and I’ll explain why in this lesson.
More than a talk, we’ll open the kimono and show you EXACTLY how we utilize Podio in WebSavvy on a daily basis. Participants in the pilot program indicated it had a significant influence on their businesses, including those who had used Podio!
Module 6 – Checklists and Policies
Despite being an E-Myth Consultant and understanding how crucial systems are, I messed up the first three times I tried to “systemize” WebSavvy.
But we persisted, and my Operations Manager Sinem did an outstanding job of executing this correctly. We go over the lessons learned, and I’ll show you how we now document things correctly.
Module 7 – Efficient Output
A shorter module to allow you to catch up on everything you’ve missed thus far. And one to really drive home the point that Business = Fun! We’ll go over the MAP you should provide your team members as well as a technique for doing meetings that I’ve been using for months and has been a significant game changer in my own firm. You should put this into action as soon as possible.
Module 8 – System Development
Yes, more on systems (they’re crucial). We’ll go over some of the alternatives for doing so (including a private invite to an excellent new tool). I’ll even provide you with some sample systems to get you started. And we’ll talk about Tim Francis’ unique “Triple Path of Readership,” which has helped keep our documentation running so smoothly.
Module 9 – Obtaining Clients
Yes, I understand that this may be the sole reason you purchase this course (I hope you also complete the first eight modules!). From Dean Jackson’s ‘8 profit activators’ to Dan Sullivan’s ‘R Factor Question’ to Chat Holmes’ ‘Dream 100 List,’ we’ll cover a LOT of ground here. We’ll also go through 12 various ways for attracting new prospects.
Module 10 – Obtaining Clients (part 2)
More information on prospecting, what questions to ask in your ‘needs analysis,’ how to draft a proposal (including an example proposal I use in WebSavvy), and Sean D’Souza’s great ‘coffee & cake’ system. We’ll also talk about how to generate recommendations, which are the single most important source of new money for my firm.
Module 11 – Client Management
Positioning is crucial, and we’ll look at how to do it properly from the outset. How to Onboard Clients in such a way that they look forward to paying you! Methods of reporting and how to properly set expectations As well as knowing when and how to terminate clients – a position of great power. We also go through the tools that WebSavvy use to keep things functioning smoothly.
