Instructional video in two parts 6-5 kyu and 4-3 kyu. The technique is shown by Minoru Kanetsuka (7th dan Aikido Aikikai), who is the technical director of the UK Aikido Federation. He began to study aikido (Yoshinkan style) in 1957 when he was a student at Takusoku University (Tokyo) under the guidance of Fujita-sensei and Shioda-sensei. After receiving higher education, he went on an expedition to the east to introduce the countries of the east to Aikido. This journey took him to Nepal, where for eight years he trained the bodyguards of the Nepalese royal family and also taught at the police academy.
In 1972, at the invitation of Kazuo Chiba (who was then the Technical Director of the Aikikai of Great Britain), Kanetsuka-sensei arrived in England and became his assistant. Several years later, Kanetsuka-sensei opened his own dojo, which was named “Ryushinkan”.
After the return of Chiba-sensei in 1977. to Japan, Kanetsuka-sensei succeeded him in this post.
