Suganuma Morito (8th dan aikikai).
Born in the Japanese prefecture of Fukushima in 1942, he began training Aikido in 1963.
Shihan Suganuma is one of the final pupils instructed by Morihei Ueshiba, the creator of aikido.
He was dispatched to establish aikido in the south of Japan in 1970, and he has lived and taught aikido in Fukuoka ever since.
Shihan Suganuma is a master of calligraphy and Zen in addition to aikido.
