Finally, a video training course in English on traditional Thai boxing, Muay Thai. The monarchs of early Siam cultivated this martial art discipline, along with sword combat, in order to raise an army capable of conquering Siam’s foes. The Thai Royal Army is still encouraging its men to prepare. It has served as the foundation for modern-day professional and amateur Muay Thai, and the techniques demonstrated in these movies may be seen in action in the ring on a daily basis. Chaiyuth means “Winning Strategy”.
These CDs may be used to study self-defense, Thai boxing, and basic physical and mental conditioning. Thailand’s top instructor is Chakraphob Charoenrat.
Muay Thai has been passed down from instructor to teacher for many years. His Majesty King Bhumipol instructed Teacher Chakraphob to maintain this practice since his expertise was a national asset that needed to be preserved for future generations.
Volume 2 – The Nine Weapons’ Relationship
How to Learn the Most Superior Muay Thai Form
Chakraphob, a teacher, writes:
This DVD will teach us about “the link between the nine weapons,” or how to practice utilizing our hands, knees, feet, and elbows. The DVD includes seven drill sessions that alternately use the hands, knees, feet, and elbows, both offensively and defensively, from the front, rear, side, or all four directions.
Teachers used to classify Thai boxing into three categories, each having 12 fundamental forms, for a total of 36 forms. They may be combined to produce more than 108 different types. These 108 types are always being produced, and the end result is endless.
We will be able to create many forms and utilize our weapons naturally and efficiently if we practice until we are skilled. Everything is determined by how well each boxer has learned the main and secondary forms. I hope that after acquiring boxing techniques, you will practice and become a decent and compassionate person in society and in your country.
