Disc 1: Obtaining an Attack Position

Nino demonstrates how to smoothly transition from the sitting up guard to the crucifix in this DVD. Whether your opponent is pressing in, pausing, or attempting to pass your guard, you will learn 8 various strategies to go from defensive to attack position based on your opponent’s reaction. The majority of these transitions are being released on DVD for the first time. There is also additional training footage included.

Submissions (Disc 2)

Elvis teaches you 10 unique submissions to surprise and tap your opponent now that you know how to get to the offensive posture. Nino will demonstrate subs you’ve never seen before, including as the americana and kimura from the crucifix, rolling triangle crucifix, full nelson neck crank, and more! There is also additional training footage included.

3rd disc: Sweeps

Nino concludes the set with nine distinct sweeps that will lay your opponent on his back and put you on top. After mastering these inventive sweeps, you’ll have a solution for whatever moves your partner makes. Nino also demonstrates his stretching regimen to help you create a flexible guard.

Nino “Elvis” Schembri (born 1974): Nino is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu world champion, ADCC veteran, and active MMA fighter who is widely regarded as one of the best grapplers of all time. Nino, ever the innovator, has a distinct combat style. He earned his black belt from Carlos Gracie, Jr. and afterwards trained with Chute Boxe. Nino is now self-sufficient and continues to practice and innovate his jiu-jitsu in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
