A national disaster…the biggest drug issue in American history. The awful news concerning opioid addiction continues to make headlines.
However, you already know what lies underneath the headlines. People. People who have had their life flipped upside down. Job loss and incarceration Families have been broken apart. Bereaved families and premature deaths People like you and me who have been given a highly addictive medicine to manage chronic pain or after undergoing a minor medical procedure and have found themselves in a lethal free fall that has devastated their lives. People that walk through your door look to you for help.
Opioid addiction, on the other hand, is not the same as other forms of addiction. Drug-induced brain change and physical dependence, along with a chemical that dangerously reduces breathing and heart rate, have resulted in a fatal epidemic of historic proportions. In addition, many persons with opioid use disorders have at least one co-occurring mental health problem that must be treated in order to achieve and sustain recovery.
One-size-fits-all addiction therapy will not suffice. Attend this workshop to learn more about:
The different hazards of opioid abuse’s neurology
There are warning signs that pain management has become an addiction.
Personalized ways to addressing the obstacles of opioid use disorder therapy
Psychotherapy approaches based on evidence-based methodologies
Screening and treatment tools for co-occurring disorders
Information about combining Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with psychotherapy.
Watch this critical one-day workshop to learn how to end your clients’ suffering and bring them hope and healing!
