Option Alpha provides a thorough technical analysis backtesting report. It contains the results of a 20-year backtesting of 17.34 million stock trades. According to the study, over 95% of technical indicators failed to outperform the market. Only a handful were able to create a significant return. One indicator even outperformed the market by 2602%.
Sounds like an excellent commercial. Is the report, however, worthwhile?
I possess the report and will discuss it in the Option Alpha Signals review that follows.
What you will receive
The Option Alpha Signals research focuses on technical analysis indicators and their dependability. Over the course of 20 years, Kirk and his colleagues have backtested 17 distinct indicators with countless different settings (more on the backtesting further down).
Kirk explains in the study’s opening that the purpose of this investigation was to answer three questions:
Is Technical Analysis more dependable than picking a stock’s direction at random?
If so, can you consistently earn extra profits above simply owning SPY (Benchmark Index)?
If so, what specific indicators and settings perform best over time?
I can tell you the answers to all of these questions since I read the report:
It is determined by the indication.
Most indicators fail to outperform the SPY.
I can’t share this because of copyright.
Most individuals (including the mainstream financial media) just accept technical signs as reliable. However, this study report demonstrates that technical indicators should not be relied because the majority of them do not operate.
Furthermore, the few indicators that function work because they are used quite differently than most people use technical indicators. Most traders utilize indicators for short-term trading. The most profitable indications, on the other hand, were all longer-term indicators.
In general, the Option Alpha Signals report exposes some really intriguing and eye-opening facts.
When you purchase the Signals report, you will have access to three documents:
