Many acoustic guitar sample libraries emphasize a clean, balanced tone with lots of body and a clear upper end. These characteristics are all fine if you require a sound that blends in with the mix, but occasionally you need a guitar that has its own individuality.
Evolution Dry Relic is now available. This track was recorded on an early 1950s Gibson J-45, which has experienced a lot of history and has lots more stories to tell. Nothing beats the sound of seasoned wood that has absorbed more flavor with each successive season. The instrument has a lovely, thunky bottom end with a spark of life in the highs when paired with a set of well-worn strings. The collection is exactly what you need to give your song a personality boost.
We worked with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording facilities, to create the collection. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer of Rosewood Recording Company, used analog audio equipment to expertly sculpt and enhance the guitar’s rich tone attributes. Evolution Dry Relic comprises both the original signal and an improved signal.
Guy Randle collaborated on the sample session with Ryan Tilby, a skilled multi-instrumentalist who has played at several music festivals and toured Europe several times. His compositions have appeared on the Discovery Channel, Outdoor Photo Adventures, and other well-known television series. Ryan Tilby also provides remote recording services to clients worldwide that want guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, and ukulele tracks.
Evolution Dry Relic is built on our Evolution engine, which has a plethora of features like as a unique strumming pattern editor, automated chord identification, and a powerful built-in effects engine. If you’ve used any of our Evolution-powered guitar or bass libraries, the interface and process will be quite familiar.
Many factory presets for ready-to-use acoustic guitar tones are included in the library, which will enhance the individuality of your creations and help them stand out from the crowd.
Key characteristics include:
– A built-in effects library provides production-ready acoustic guitar tones.
– A pattern editor and chord voicing system allow you to create genuine strumming and picking patterns.
– Pick position may be adjusted using our patented physical modeling technique.
– A powerful mapping system that allows you to configure how you want articulations to be triggered, including velocity ranges, MIDI CCs, latching and non-latching keyswitches, and more.
Sampling data: 11.4 GB of 24-bit samples (compressed to 6 GB using the lossless NCW audio format).
– Articulations such as sustains, palm mutes, mutes, natural harmonics, and others, as well as special effects such as string slaps, percussive body impacts, and others.
– Samples of Legato slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs.
– Each articulation has three dynamics, two choose directions (where appropriate), and two rounds of round-robin.
Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player sampler software is licensed by Evolution Dry Relic. As a result, owning the full version of Kontakt is not required, and Evolution Dry Relic functions freely within the free Kontakt Player application/plugin. This also allows the sample library to be listed in Kontakt’s libraries tab for easy access.
The Evolution Dry Relic is NKS-compatible. The integration with the Native Kontrol Standard provides several advantages, both when using the library in the Komplete Kontrol software and when utilizing Komplete Kontrol hardware, such as the Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards and Maschine.
There are a number of other advantages to having Evolution Dry Relic shown in the Native Browser with your other Komplete Kontrol instruments. For example, you may manipulate the library’s numerous settings directly through connected hardware straight out of the box thanks to Native Instruments’ Native Map® technology. Furthermore, the keyswitches and key ranges are shown utilizing Light Guide, a cutting-edge technique that shows key colors directly on your Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboard.
For the ultimate experience, we recommend pairing Evolution Dry Relic with a Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboard. While not required, you will be able to use the Native Kontrol Standard to connect software instruments and hardware in an easy manner.
