A step-by-step technique for manifesting your ideal clients, charging what you’re worth, and ENJOYING the process of creating your conscious business!
Does any of this ring a bell?
You’ve been putting in a lot of effort and just obtaining a fraction of the outcomes you desire.
You are absolutely overwhelmed by the dozens of decisions you must make and the tasks you must perform every day.
Everyone around you appears to be doing things more effortlessly than you are.
You want to generate money while still having fun with your business, but you’re not sure how.
You’ve done a lot of personal development work, and you know what SHOULD work, but it simply doesn’t. It feels like you have to give up everything to make money and succeed, when it was meant to be easy.
It might seem like you’re fighting yourself at times, but you’re not sure how to improve things.
If this rings true for you, I have good news: you’ve come to the correct spot.
And you’re not alone.
Why are you not succeeding?
There is now compelling scientific proof that your negative emotions interfere with the reasoning regions of your brain. This implies that when you are afraid, anxious, disturbed, or angry, you simply cannot access all of your intelligence, resources, and capacities to deal with such feelings.
(Recall the last time you were furious with someone: were you inclined to say something you later regretted?)
This is your ‘business kryptonite,’ in my opinion.
(Recall that Superman was quicker than a speeding train and could jump large buildings in a single bound… except when he came into contact with kryptonite, which stripped away all of his powers.)
You have super-powers.
You change people’s lives.
Your effort makes a difference in the world.
You have ‘business kryptonite’ as well.
It saps your power, and your capacity to achieve in business.
And here’s what makes this phenomenon even worse: when a current event or situation triggers a memory of a previous negative event you experienced, your brain’switches back’ to the original negative event, leaving you with only the mental and emotional resources you had at the time the original event occurred.
Let’s imagine you were 13 years old when you chose to tell a boy or girl you liked them and asked them out – and you were rejected and humiliated.
You’re in the middle of a sales call with a potential customer 30 years later. Your prospective customer says something that triggers your subconscious to recall the humiliating rejection you received when you were 13.
The kryptonite attacks.
The confidence you had going into the talk vanishes, and you find yourself experiencing the same feelings you did all those years ago, even if you aren’t aware of why. Even if it hasn’t happened yet, you know you’re uncomfortable and rejected.
The end result? You react just like you did when you were 13 years old. You’ve lost all the wisdom, knowledge, and experience you’ve earned over the last 30 years, and everything you do and say is based on the information and experience you had at the age of 13.
You don’t want a 13-year-old handling your sales interactions, do you?
Here’s how it may work in this company situation.
You:
Don’t even ask the individual to work with you; instead, leave the conversation early by stating, ‘I just knew they’d say no.’
Reduce your rates on your rates to allegisssavoid of rejection.
Say or do something out of character or that afterwards feels’stupid’ because it is something your 13-year-old self would have said or done.
If you’ve been feeling unproductive in sales interactions, that’s just one way your business kryptonite might strike.
No matter how much personal development work you’ve done, until you’ve overcome the business kryptonite, you’re doomed to failure.
How much is your company’s kryptonite costing you?
Have you ever experienced any of the following?
Stress, overwhelm, and procrastination
Feeling like you have to continually lower your prices in order to be accepted
Client, coworker, or vendor annoyance
Fear of being evaluated, ridiculed, or targeted as you advance in your career
Exhaustion from fighting your ‘Inner Critic’ all the time
Fear or aversion to sales or marketing
Frustration with a too-low income cap Feeling pressure to be flawless (even when you know it’s unrealistic)
These are signs that you have kryptonite, which is draining your energy and shutting down your business’s success.
There is a widespread misperception that it is simple to talk oneself through resolving these sorts of challenges via pure willpower.
“Just become comfortable with being uncomfortable” or “You have to do whatever it takes to create your business” (even sacrificing your health, family, and happiness!)
So you could try to push through, depending on willpower to get things done.
