IMPORTANT RISK INFORMATION: Many traders skip through risk disclaimers as though they are ordinary formalities that must be followed in the process of doing business in this sector. This is a risky habit that many traders have formed. There is “profit potential” and “risk potential” in all trading techniques. All too frequently, traders read “profit potential” as a “promise of profits”, while at the same time, if dangers are realized, the word “risk potential” is understood “I was misled”. This is called trading. There are dangers, and they are very real. Losses are possible if you are exposed to risk. Profitability denotes the possibility of profit. Past performance, whether hypothetical or genuine, does not reduce any strategy’s risk potential. The problem with just glossing over risk warnings and failing to take them properly is that it drives traders to make decisions they would not have made otherwise. Specifically, glossing over a risk disclaimer may lead to you trading a strategy that you would not have traded if you had considered the dangers connected with that approach properly. It also prompts traders to abandon trading techniques before they should since they failed to take the risk disclaimer seriously.

Understanding risk is more critical to trading success than you would believe. Indeed, your awareness of risk (or lack thereof) influences practically every trading decision you make, including markets to trade, account size to begin with, starting trade size, levels at which you raise or reduce your trade size, and, of course, how long to stay committed to a strategy. Ignoring this, and any other risk statement linked with trading, is to your peril. Every Seasoned Stocks approach and trade opportunity has risk. In all circumstances, you determine if the “profit potential” is worth the “risk potential”.
