Udo Quellmalz is the most successful Western lightweight judoka. Between 1989 and 1996, he won a medal at every World Championships and Olympic Games, culminating in gold medals at the World Championships in 1991 and 1995, as well as the Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta.
Quellmalz is proficient in both Newaza and Tachi-waza. In this DVD, he demonstrates his distinct tactics, tactical abilities, and distinctive grips. All are initially shown at full speed in a studio, followed by slow motion replays from various viewpoints. They are then demonstrated with various competitive instances from Quellmalz at the German, European, and World Championships, as well as all five of his Olympic triumphs in 1996.
