Everyone understands how much I value continued education.
But what is the most significant barrier that people face when it comes to further education?
Money.
And believe me, I understand.
When you include in registration, travel, housing, food, and other other fees, attending a conference should cost roughly $1,000. In fact, Bill and I are attending a conference in September that will almost certainly cost more than $2,000!
That is not to say that you should not attend seminars; on the contrary, you should. Continuing education is what distinguishes average trainers and coaches from the finest in our field.
However, it never hurts to study on the cheap, which is why webinars are fast becoming a favorite of mine.
Rick Kaselj, a buddy from Vancouver who is holding my lecture there in December, has just announced a new product that I believe many of you will be interested in. Muscle Imbalances Revealed (MIR) is a webinar course that analyzes the lower extremity, dysfunctions that you may encounter, and how a range of fitness experts train the lower limb to avoid injury and increase performance.

So, for a handful of reasons (aka the three C’s of webinars), this webinar series is fantastic:
– Cost
Remember that $1,000 you planned to spend on a seminar? Not at all! The complete webinar series costs less than $150, and it can be acquired for even less if you choose downloaded webinars instead physical DVDs.
– Ease of use
Let’s face it: traveling can be, well, annoying. You may learn from the comfort of your own home with this course. There will be no travel, no headaches, nothing.
– Ongoing Education
Every year, personal trainers and strength coaches must get continuing education units/credits. Rick has arranged for continuing education credits for the following organizations:
NSCA, ACE, NASM, CanFitPro, BCRPA, CKA, NHPC, and others
Rick has assembled an excellent lineup of speakers, including myself, Bill Hartman, Eric Beard, and others. I was thrilled to be able to contribute to the project, and I believe you’ll learn a lot.
