Rita Milios, LCSW, SAP, is a private practice psychotherapist, a Florida Qualified Supervisor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. Her clinical practice and clinician workshops integrate DSM-5® related tactics with unique “mind-tools” techniques that bridge the gap between standard psychotherapy and holistic approaches. Rita has been a meditation, mindfulness, and other mind-training method instructor for over 20 years, as well as a researcher and writer on cutting-edge mind and behavior themes, including the application of brain-based scientific tools. Her book, Tools for Transformation, is praised by doctors and laypeople alike for providing an accessible introduction to “mind tools” tactics.
Rita is an internationally recognized author of more than 40 books and 100 articles for print and web, as well as a positive thinking management training film. Mind/body wellness, personal change, creativity, rehabilitation, and mourning are among the subjects covered in her books and seminars.
