DescriptionThis will be a discussion of studies beginning at the age of one and concluding with difficulties of death. EMDR can be useful across a wide range of human problems. Using data from scientific research, recorded demonstrations, and case histories, we will investigate how EMDR is employed with traumatized children, in phantom limb pain, following motor vehicle accidents and other discrete traumatic events, in dissociative individuals, and with pain difficulties. We have not only brain pre- and post-neuroimaging studies of EMDR treatment, but we have also been able to demonstrate neurobiological shifts during the session itself, making EMDR a type of treatment with neurobiological shifts within a single session as well as over time; not only with PTSD, but also with phantom limb pain.
