Robin Gilbert, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, has worked in emergency nursing for over 25 years. She’s a qualified emergency nurse as well as a certified pediatric emergency nurse. Robin has vast experience working in the emergency room, progressive care, intermediate care, transitional care, step-down, and as the regional manager for staff development at Central Maine Medical Center. Robin uses her skills to teach critical care and emergency nursing issues to her own hospital staff and seasoned healthcare audiences around the country.
She has contributed to the current CEN Review Manual as an item writer for the Board Certification of Emergency Nursing (BCEN), as a former Chairperson of BCEN, and most recently as a contributing writer for the current CEN Review Manual. Robin is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Association for Nursing Professional Development, and a Pathway to Excellence reviewer for the ANCC.
