Date: July 29, 2016 DescriptionClinical knowledge derived from our understanding of childhood development can be simply used to neuro-rehabilitation. This course will examine pediatric motor and perceptual development in order to establish a prediction framework of upper extremity skill progression after a stroke. Extensive hands-on experiences will be offered to demonstrate the development of hand skills and fine-motor control.

OTD, MEd, OTR/L, BCPR Robyn Otty Seminars and goods related to this topic: 3Robyn Otty, OTD, MEd, OTR/L, BCPR, is an associate professor and temporary program director at Touro University Nevada’s College Health and Human Services, School of Occupational Therapy. She has a plethora of physical rehabilitation expertise in numerous areas of practice as a practicing clinician for 24 years and 10 years as a professional instructor.
She earned her AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation in 2012, her clinical doctorate (OTD) from Loma Linda University in 2010, her Master of Education from Touro University Nevada in 2007, and her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State in 1994. Using evidence-based cognitive techniques to enhance motor control in teenagers with high functioning autism spectrum disorder is one of her current research topics.
