Note: This is my first upload, so please be kind. Ratio contributions would also be very appreciated; thank you very much from a novice like me! “Meditation is a time-honored practice that relieves stress and revitalizes the body, mind, and spirit,” says Rodney Yee, Yoga Journal’s Yoga Practice for Meditation instructor.
“Meditation involves awareness of posture, comfort of breath, and mental concentration.” Yee softly and effectively guides you through five yoga practices in this lovely video that alleviate physical tension, enhance posture, and open up breathing.
The location is the huge and beautiful Yosemite National Park, where Yee poses in a meadow surrounded by trees and rocks, or at the side of a lake or waterfall.
Yee says that meditation will help you “live more quietly, wholeheartedly, with power and grace.”
The procedure is separated into five sections: Mountain, a series that moves from pose to pose, used for transitioning from daily activities to a sitting meditation (12 minutes); Garden, gentle movements done in a chair that open the hips and stretch the back (10 minutes); Tree, four sitting poses, using props to modify the poses to your personal flexibility level (10 minutes); Wind, with a focus on the movement of breath, releasing tension, and relaxing deeply (10 minutes); Sky, a meditation focusing on poi (10 minutes) (8 minutes).
