RMAX International’s COO is Scott B. Sonnon. He is an adjunct instructor for the US Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and has served as a subject matter expert (SME) for a variety of organizations, including the Israeli LOTAR Counter-Terror Academy, the NYPD Academy, the 3/160th SOAR, the US Marshals Academy, the US DHS Office of State and Local Law Enforcement, the US CBP Use of Force Center, and several US Military SOF Units. He offers his services as a consultant to US Veterans Hospitals. Scott created the Circular Strength Training® approach to emphasis on deployable strength, mobility, and resiliency. He has been teaching all around the world since 1997. He discovered the same problem in every country: fighters formed like their vocations, bearing an accumulated stress load, resulting in shortened careers and “rusty armor.”
In response, Scott created TACFIT, the first tactical fitness teacher certification course. TACFIT athletes recover from acute stress responses faster and shed chronic stress load from training and their careers. TACFIT has been given to over 4,000 trainers all around the world. TACFIT has been formally implemented by units in over 13 allied countries. Scott has been named one of the Top 25 Trainers in the World by Men’s Health Magazine and one of the 7 Most Influential Instructors of this Century by Black Belt Magazine, earning him induction into the National Fitness Hall of Fame, Personal Trainer Hall of Fame, and International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He is a five-time world martial arts champion as well as a six-time USA National Team Coach. He holds multiple patents, including the Clubbell®, and has written seven books, 43 training manuals, and devised 53 unique exercise routines.
He works for 5.11 as the Tactical Fitness Ambassador. Scott and 5.11 are collaborating on the development of new technologies in tactical fitness, biomechanics, and stress physiology. He leads training at the DHS CBP Office of Air and Marine Bellingham Branch’s ‘Fight Cage’ every day and connects this daily resource to a slew of carnivores online.
