1. Before and After “Sen No Sen”:
Once you’ve decided to attack, don’t pause; instead, move quickly and calmly before your opponent does. Furthermore, you can make a fake move (false move) as if you are attacking and then seize the initiative to make the first move. You attack with bravery, mentally overpowering your opponent. From beginning to end, your attitude is continuously overwhelming. That is “Sen No Sen’s” spiritual strength.
2. Before and after “Go No Sen”:
You must strike instantly when the adversary strikes, target at the weak places to attack violently, and be sensitive to the opponent’s top parts such as the region of Bai Hoi, the sun, the eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. Collar, Trachea, Chan Thuy, Ribs, Kidneys, Wrists, Armpits, Backbone, Upper Back are examples of mid-range areas. Low range: Dan Dien, Hang, shins, knees, Achilles tendons, and so on. If your opponent is calm, you must picture his every motion, merge rhythmically with him, and then fire a strike.
You should aim to go near to your opponent and strike the crucial blow with all your might and energy. The policy of this spirit is to fight when the opponent is just starting to move, ie “Go No Sen”.
