Shawn Burger, PT, DPT, earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University School of Allied Health in 1998 and a transitional Doctorate from the University of St. Scholastica. Dr. Burger has vast expertise across the rehabilitation continuum, having owned, run, and/or managed programs ranging from acute, skilled nursing, to multiple site outpatient clinics. He currently owns and manages PearFit Physical Therapy, a one-of-a-kind firm focusing on rehab system development, especially standardization of delivery methods.

Dr. Burger previously ran Burger Physical Therapy, one of California’s largest private offices. He has vast experience working with HMO / Capitation contracts and instructs others on how to optimize best practices. Dr. Burger currently talks globally on a variety of issues related to manual therapy, rehabilitation, and business management solutions. He also serves on the California legislative health care advisory group, which advises public health legislation.

John Hisamoto, P.T./A.T.C., is a Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer with over 30 years of rehabilitation expertise. Before taking the job of Director of Rehabilitation at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, he worked as one of the Directors for the Union Memorial Sports Medicine Centers in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the owner and Director of Pro-Active Physical Therapy in Tampa, and he has spent his whole career working in sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy Magazine named John one of the best Orthopedic/Sports Medicine therapists in the country. He gives several national and international talks on sports medicine/orthopedics and exercise science. He has been to over twenty-five countries to offer his rehabilitative knowledge. John has worked as a physical therapist and trainer for the All-American Rugby team, as well as as the Medical Director for USA Rugby’s National Team, the Eagles. He is still teaching and treating athletes, including professional and amateur sports teams.
