Integrate TRE to optimize and preserve your health on all levels of your being, so you can interrupt your excessive fight-or-flight response patterns and enjoy sensations of connection and tranquility.
Trauma is a complicated phenomena that is all around us and inside us, especially these days.
Traditional trauma-healing treatments tend to focus on the mental or emotional reasons of trauma, which may inadvertently trigger the accompanying stress and suffering.
What if you could live your life from a point of ultimate well-being and relaxation, simply by utilizing the power of your body’s innate reflexes?
Tension Releasing Exercises®, or TRE, activate your primal responses to identify the location of trauma in your body. Then you “shake it out,” releasing long-held stress patterns and feeling connected and at ease.
The sensation of shaking will be fresh to your central nervous system, and this new stimulus, approached cautiously and with curiosity, may assist your learning and progress in many aspects of your life.
Explore TRE as a safe, natural procedure to reset overprotective reflexes in this 7-module video course with bodyworker and TRE specialist Steve Haines. You’ll use your reflexes to release trauma and neutralize your own fear-based patterns — all while soothing your nervous system and gradually restoring equilibrium to your body.
While the psychology of trauma is complicated, Steve feels the physiological is straightforward. All trauma is caused by fear, which is triggered by self-perceived dangers or danger. When you experience trauma, old areas of your brain go into fight-or-flight or freeze mode.
TRE exercises target particular muscles throughout your body, allowing you to release deeply held trauma using your natural responses. These exercises also help to reset the brain pathways that cause fear and pain reactions.
Steve will teach you how to spot the early signals of distress — and then return to an inner sense of safety, no matter what’s going on in your life.
Inside of you are silent stories. Your capacity for experience dwarfs your capacity for words. TRE will assist you in being acquainted with a wide spectrum of emotional states.
You’ll learn to find the sensation before it finds you.
Steve’s integrative approach to TRE has already helped millions across the world shake out of excessive fight-or-flight patterns and into their natural, blissful state. He is a UK qualified chiropractor with a background in yoga, shiatsu, and biodynamic craniosacral treatment states.
Your body can assist you in shifting out of the mental and emotional impacts of fear, trauma, and suffering, allowing you to confidently live a truly empowered life.

Module 2: Connecting with Grounding and Shaking
Traumatic situations elicit a concealed response.
Almost everyone is aware of the stress reaction of speeding up to live…
… yet not many people are aware of the shutdown reaction, in which we slow down in order to survive.
Steve will explain the terms shutdown, freeze, dissociation, collapse, and acting dead. The core of shutdown is a gesture of immobilization and switching off in order to survive.
Trauma is defined by dissociation. It is the buried riddle at the heart of trauma for many survivors. It’s a perplexing state in which you may feel numb, disconnected, or empty. You frequently feel trapped, unable to think or act. It may be horrifying and frightening at times.
However, dissociation may sometimes seem secure, floating, and spacious, as if you’re no longer confined by your body.
Endorphins, your body’s natural painkillers, are the key chemicals of dissociation. Dissociation has a beguiling, warm aspect for many of us. It may appear to be easier to not feel and tune out than to be present.
Being grounded is the antonym of dissociation – a lovely, earthy term that represents being present and connected. As you’ll see, groundedness is a condition in which you’re at ease in your body and aware of your surroundings.
This module will teach you:
Learn how to feel secure in your own skin.
Use basic methods to help you stay grounded.
Determine when daydreaming becomes excessive.
Discover the potential of moving slowly with powerful sensations by understanding the hurdles that make it difficult to connect to the body.
Module 3: Self-Regulation for Trauma Healing
All current trauma therapists focus on teaching clients how to manage powerful emotions. It is now well accepted that moving slowly is the quickest approach to heal trauma.
Although feeling is tough, it is a talent that can be learned. You will frequently require assistance and community to help you co-regulate before you can self-regulate.
You can learn to put the brakes on and halt if things feel unusual, too fast, too much, or too floaty during the tremor process.
You may learn to manage all feeling states by learning to regulate the tremors of TRE.
You’ll strengthen your abilities and construct a robust, durable container to hold your trauma.
This module will teach you:
How to move slowly as the quickest approach to recover trauma
Methods for recognizing consistent, early symptoms of discomfort, including signals that indicate when you’re more active than you know.

You can shake it off with TRE. You may relax and allow natural tremors to liberate your body from within – a great sensation.

What is the relationship between the mind and the body? This is a pretty old issue. Shaking is an excellent way to improve your mind-body connection.
TRE is based on a deep faith in the knowledge of the body. Trauma is viewed as a physiological response rather than a psychological one.
It is not necessary to comprehend or recall trauma in order to heal it. The idea is to reduce the number of defensive reflexes that try to speed you up or shut you down so you can live.
This is a fundamental paradigm shift away from thinking and knowing as essential components of healing.
You’ll discover how emotions are founded in bodily experiences. Steve will help you identify and label your emotions, as well as have them rather than becoming them.
This module will teach you:
Expand your knowledge of trauma theory.
Learn about the relationship between emotions and senses.
Discover new ways to describe and inhabit your body.

Learn that it is not always necessary to discuss the past in order to heal in the present.
Experiment with new emotional states.

This section delves deeper into how trauma affects the neurological, hormonal, and immunological systems.
Many individuals are astonished to discover that they are not angry, terrible, or broken. When you genuinely understand that defensive reflexes are typical reactions to exceptional experiences, you will make significant progress in your healing.
Steve will introduce you to Dr. Stephen Porges’ study, which is packed of important scientific discoveries concerning primordial survival instincts. Steve will simplify and apply Dr. Porges’ polyvagal theory to your daily life.
He’ll explain how, as your impression of a threat grows, you may resort to earlier survival instincts. Dr. Porges describes this process as Orientation, Mobilization, and Immobilization.
