Following the apocalyptic StormChoir, the huge WOTAN Male Choir, and the one-of-a-kind Rhodope Ethnic Bulgarian Choir, FREYJA Female Choir represents a new milestone in Strezov Sampling’s acclaimed choral series, focusing on the gentle and emotive sounds of the female choir.

FREYJA, a choir of ten altos and ten sopranos recorded in the Sofia Session Studio for artists such as Two Steps from Hell, sets a new standard in choral sampling by introducing the brandnew agile legato sampling technique, which allows the user to seamlessly play polyphonic legato with every syllable in the library.

Agile Legato is a revolutionary.

Although there are several reasons why FREYJA deserves to be termed a next-generation library, the most important of them all is the brand-new Agile Legato. Countless hours were spent on this brand-new process that combines genuine legato sampling with our Syllabuilding approach. Agile Legato not only allows the user to play legato with every phrase in the library, but it also includes intelligent voice leading, allowing polyphonic writing inside a single patch. In other words, hold down a chord with your left hand, play a melody with your right hand, and connect it all using legato transitions. The sustain pedal, the most popular of all midi cc controllers, can operate this powerful function.

In addition to the Agile Legato, FREYJA has polyphonic genuine legato patches (Ah, Mm, and MmAh) for both altos and sopranos with two legato speeds, giving you a lot of freedom when crafting legato lines.

There are two techniques to virtual choirs: phrasebuilding (StormChoir series) and wordbuilding (Rhodope series). Freyja blends phrasebuilding’s simplicity and sample recording with wordbuilding’s extensive editing features. This enables you to not only achieve wonderful sounding outcomes in seconds, but also to construct and produce fresh sample content with a few mouse clicks. Create whole choral patterns within the GUI, or link and morph various syllables to create motion to your choir compositions. Save and load whole lyric presets to fast get into the real composition or to supplement your setup with predefined rapid phrases.

Natural attacks are included in all samples. If you wish to tighten things up, the Syllabuilder Engine lets you define specific attack, release, volume, and offset parameters for each field separately.
