Jacob Umansky has become a tremendous force in the world of modern bass since making his stage debut with Intervals five years ago.
His distinct technical approach, songwriting, and tone have helped him become a household name in the progressive metal genre.
Jacob has worked with artists such as Aaron Marshall (Intervals), JIA, Joshua Dela Victoria, Joseph Anidjar, The Omnific, Aviations, Auras, Nick Johnston, The Faceless, and many more after graduating from Berklee College of Music.

Every fret has been multi-sampled. Match guitar performances one to one.
17 Articulations + an Interactive Fretboard!
Use Force String to specify the string each note should be played on.
Thumping, Double Thumb, Hand Mutes, Slap/Pop, Ghost Slap/Pop, Tapping, truLegato, truSlides are new articulations.
truBass slides have been completely redesigned. Slide precisely way you want it – with actual energy loss over time and program start/end notes.
Use Force String to specify the string each note should be played on.
Pitch bend to a maximum of 12 semitones! (Alternatively, be prudent and stay with 2)
Round robbin with up to 16 samples on Finger Alternate articulation.
Fully raw DI with three of Jacob’s own tones. The predominant tone is grit, which is matched by the Intervals album Circadian.
The ‘Mixer’ menu allows for minor adjustments to each tone.
Added a new ‘Humanize’ feature. It progresses from ‘Machine’ to ‘Bassist.’
The ‘Position’ knob functions as a virtual capo, thus notes may only be played above the specified fret unless they can also be played under it.
‘DOOM’ mode: reduces sample count, employs just the most punchy, clear samples, and increases velocity to its maximum.
DjinnBass’s industry-leading Alternate Picking selection remains unchanged.
The Settings Menu lets you to rebind keyswitches, change the tuning of the bass, and adjust the bend range.
Kontakt or Kontakt Player 6.6 or later is required.
