Circle of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is a curriculum and facilitator’s guide she created to educate girls ages 8-14 how to form healthy friendships via assertive communication, conflict resolution, and resiliency. Susan has spent the last 15 years teaching students, educators, parents, and mental health professionals about relational aggression, including ten years speaking at the American Camp Association conference.
She gave a TEDxWWU lecture on relational aggressiveness in 2016. Susan is passionate about the role of storytelling in mental health and is the director of “The Brainchronicles,” a NAMI of Washington State storytelling presentation. She is a perennial winner of the Seattle MOTH StorySLAM and has been featured on The Moth Radio Hour. Susan is an American Counseling Association member and a board member of the Washington Mental Health Counselor Association.
