You will learn how to design, print, and sew your own square scarf inspired by your travels in this session.
We’ll gather ideas from our travels, construct a moodboard and color palette, and then utilize Procreate’s symmetry and aided sketching tools to create a square reflected repeat pattern.
We will have our design digitally printed on silk, satin, or cotton and then hand hem it to create our own one-of-a-kind scarf!
You can enjoy and use the scarf, give it to a friend or family member, or use it as a prototype for future textile goods as part of your creative practice.
If you are an illustrator, artist, or creative person with Procreate expertise who wants to explore textiles as a creative output, this session is for you.
You will require:
Procreate on an iPad or tablet
Photoshop
Thread, needle, and fabric scissors
A tape measure and newspaper or card to serve as a template
To purchase your digital fabric printed at 75cm × 75cm (starting at $9 for cotton), go here.
Optional: purchase a digital scarf mockup (typically between $15 and 18).
