This beginners’ series, guided by Strala founder Tara Stiles, is meant to assist everyone – of any age, size, history, or background – move more readily from where they are each day.
If you’re new to yoga, it provides the thorough direction and structure you need to get started and grow in each of the essential areas: Whole-Body Flexibility, Strength, Breath, Core, and Balance.
For long-time practitioners, this course allows you to re-learn with a beginner’s perspective. Based on the movement and healing concepts of tai chi and Traditional Chinese Medicine, you’ll discover a new approach to easily go through all types of obstacle.
And, of course, if you’re pregnant, or anybody else, always consult your doctor first. It is beneficial to get guidance from a knowledgeable specialist who is familiar with your specific situation.

Tara’s Bio
Stiles, Tara Tara created Strala, relying on her expertise in classical dance and choreography, as well as her long-standing personal yoga practice. Tara was taught by Paul Taylor Dance Company choreographer and dancer Eileen Cropley, and began her yoga studies in the 1990s with her ballet teacher, American Ballet Theater’s Rory Foster. Thousands of guides are now conducting Strala lessons in partner studios, gyms, and clubs throughout the world. Strala’s global training and practice headquarters are located in downtown New York City.
Tara Stiles – a global program providing Strala Yoga courses and nutritious recipes to W hotels across the world. She is a Reebok collaborator, working closely with the design team on their Reebok Yoga lifestyle range, and has written several best-selling books, including Slim Calm Sexy Yoga, Yoga Cures, Make Your Own Rules Diet, and Make Your Own Rules Cookbook, which have all been translated and published in multiple languages. Tara also supports The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, President Clinton’s campaign to tackle childhood obesity, which will deliver Strala courses to over 30,000 schools throughout the country.

Tara’s work has been covered in a case study by Harvard, and she has lectured to students at Harvard and New York University about her experience and approaches to creativity and leadership.

Tara trained in classical dance under ABT Principal Rory Foster and choreography by Paul Taylor founding member and world-renowned teacher Eileen Cropley. Mike Taylor, the co-founder of Strala, is her husband.
