Insurance is usually simple…until a claim is filed. Then we start second-guessing ourselves and hoping, if not praying, that all of the proper coverages are in place. This course will go through some of the most frequent errors made when writing Personal Lines policy and how claims adjusters handled them. We will go over subjects like:

Delivery difficulties with UBER and LYFT
Drones, VRBO Company Vehicles, and PAP Motor Vehicles – Is my insurance going to cover all of these toys?

Terry has worked in the insurance sector for almost 40 years. He has joined the Correll Insurance Group of agencies as the President of Coastal Plains Insurance, LLC (CPI) and South East Coastal Underwriters (SECU) at picturesque Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, in an attempt to live a slightly slower paced life. Terry is a co-owner and is in charge of the day-to-day operations of CPI and SECU. Prior to joining CPI, Terry was the owner and CEO of Florida Insurance Educators, Inc., an insurance education and consulting business that collaborated with Florida Insurance School to provide a range of educational courses and consulting services to state and national organizations. Terry is still accepting national speaking engagements and writing technical articles for state and national insurance magazines. Terry is also recognized by federal and state courts as an expert on insurance coverages and acts as an expert witness in his leisure time. Terry began his career in Florida in 1979. He spent the most of his time as the proprietor of an independent insurance business in Florida, where he specialized in a range of Professional Liability plans and designed numerous specialist programs for the construction industry. Terry formerly worked for the Florida Department of Insurance as the Administrator of Agents Licensing. His principal duties were approving persons for agent license and supervising the development of all state insurance tests. During this time, he also represented Florida on the National Test Development Committee, which establishes criteria for agent licensing tests. Terry is now a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a National Faculty Member of the Society. He is also the Educational Consultant for the state of North Carolina. Terry is also a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS).
