Too many children are upset, angry, and estranged from their parents, and too many parents are frustrated because their child-rearing methods aren’t working.
Many parent-child treatments focus on modifying behaviour without addressing the underlying issues of connection and trauma.
This tape provides a strategy to improving the relationship that focuses on the physiologic, nonverbal link between parent and kid. Learn how to promote control, connection, and joy between parents and children using two attachment-based modalities—Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Theraplay—as well as help parents to perform reparative work around family trauma. Learn how to:
Without depending on the child’s capacity to communicate sentiments, get to the heart of a child’s inner ideas, feelings, wishes, and beliefs.
Facilitate an active discussion between parents and children that is both safe and gets to the heart of their concerns.
Simulations for optimum arousal, emotion management, and de-escalation of child-parent dysregulation
Learn how to gently intervene and redirect a misinformed or critical parent.
