DescriptionUnfortunately, nurse bullying is a distraction from patient care.
We’ve all been there, I’m sure… Either as a victim of nurse bullying or as a spectator (possibly a quiet witness) to bullying at work.
It can appear paradoxical to be both a nurse and a bully. So, why does it happen at such a high rate? We can take precautions to safeguard ourselves at work if we understand why nurse bullies chose their victims. And if we can understand why a coworker is doing the way they are, we are more likely to intervene in a way that produces the intended results.
It is now time to take a stand. To defend yourself and others who have been mistreated, gossiped about, withheld anticipated patient information, or criticized in front of patients/families. Bullying may take many forms. You will discover proven tactics from expert Theresa Puckett PhD, RN, CNE in less than 90 minutes to help change your department or unit into a tranquil and pleasurable place to work.
