Hello, my name is Nick Ruiz, and before I get to where I am now (multi-millionaire real estate entrepreneur), I’d want to tell you about two key incidents that changed my life.
The first was that I became a billionaire in real estate in my twenties when most of my friends were still in college.
The second was that as a result of the 2008 crisis, I became utterly bankrupt (like, federal bankruptcy court, no joke).
Now, what would you be able to learn from me if I went bankrupt?
I’m a failure, am I not?
WRONG.
With my back against the wall immediately following my bankruptcy, I simply had one option: success.
The going was rough.
I recall going to the grocery store and being unable to purchase a bag of my favorite sour cream and onion chips after purchasing the essentials for my family.
Even if you’re broke right now, I’m sure most of you can afford a $1.39 bag of f*cking POTATO CHIPS!
Yeah, I took a few days to wallow in self-pity, to think bad thought after negative idea, and to weep it out (don’t judge me, we’re all human)… But then I went into full-fledged hustling mode.
I was back in the game after finding a great deal and flipping a property for a tidy profit a few weeks later!
I credit bankruptcy with helping me design a truly recession-proof real estate structure that will keep my assets safe no matter what occurs.
The bankruptcy scenario was the finest thing that could have occurred to me.
It increased my intelligence and sharpness tenfold.
It helped me become a more determined individual and a better entrepreneur.
It enabled me to respond to hardships and adversity with a clearer head and continue with wisdom rather than reacting out of fear and sheer emotion.
When little issues arose in the workplace, I simply rose to the occasion and handled the situation promptly and professionally.
Adversity has pushed me to my boundaries, making little difficulties appear nearly trivial.
The bankruptcy added several “notches” to my belt of inner insight and understanding.
My field of vision and clarity have much improved.
