DescriptionIs your money being returned to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers because you don’t understand the paperwork requirements? Are you overdocumenting unimportant regions while underdocumenting critical parts? According to some physicians, narrative documenting takes more time than “checking boxes” or “menus”. However, if done correctly, it may save you time and direct a reviewer’s attention on the competence and advancement you give, securing reimbursement and avoiding additional review.
Watch this video to understand crucial tactics for mastering documentation. You will learn how to record in a way that meets CMS and payer criteria while demonstrating skills, medical necessity, and objective progress regardless of software utilized. You will discover the objective of the RAC system, the appeals procedure, and red flags to ensure you are only documenting what is necessary. Simple narrative focus can lessen or eliminate reviews entirely. Specific examples will be provided of how to apply the ideas gained in this course to typical exercises, activities, and treatment procedures.
