Let’s travel back a few years to when…
I WAS NEARLY KILLED
It all started when my family and I moved into a gorgeous Santa Monica penthouse.
Many people would undoubtedly consider it a dream house…
It was charmingly situated on lovely cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, had a spacious park where the kids could burn off some energy, and every morning when I left the house for my morning stroll, I got a deep breath of fresh ocean air.
The surroundings were more than stunning.
BUT THIS IS WHERE THE TOXICITY ENTERED MY LIFE.
I acquired a bad case of brain fog and was battered by tremendous waves of exhaustion after only a few months of living there.
This is not unusual for most individuals. Sometimes you eat something or don’t get enough sleep, and you wake up feeling a little fuzzy.
However, as someone who places a high value on nutrition and rest, I became dubious.
But I ignored that hunch since I was a new mom and assumed the exhaustion and fogginess were caused by coping with a newborn child.
Then,
I began to have difficulty walking the entire neighborhood and became ill.
I was living in a black mold breeding ground.
My wife and I were always arguing, and everything were falling apart.
I was still eating well and exercising regularly, but the sores from the black mold wouldn’t heal…
And the best treatment at the time was sitting in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber numerous times a week, which I just didn’t have the funds for.
I was going through a divorce, had recently moved, and money was tight.
