Dr. Coats graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. In Cleveland, Ohio, he did an Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He also holds fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Missouri Columbia and Interventional Cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Coats is a cardiologist who works at Central Missouri Cardiology in Jefferson City, Missouri. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Coats is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Interventional Cardiology in Interventional Cardiology and the American Board of Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine.
