- Summarize the importance of preparation for wilderness excursions and outdoor adventures, review the importance of bystander preparation, describe the role of physicians and other healthcare providers in community/patient education, and develop a strategy for empowering patients.
The Montana Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
William Oley MD is a Family Medicine physician practicing at Beartooth Billings Clinic in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana. Dr. Oley attended medical school at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and completed his internship and residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, also in Columbus, Ohio. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Oley is particularly interested in Pediatrics, Preventive Health, the study of Rural Trauma Systems, and Wilderness medicine. Dr. Oley joined Billings Clinic in 2003.
