Sifu Chan spent the most of his time studying under Sifu Ip Ching. Sifu Chan is a member of the Honk Kong Ving Tsun Association and a certified Wing Chun Instructor, as well as a founding member and former director of the United States Ip Ching Ving Tsun Athletic Association, and has acted as Ip Ching’s personal interpreter on many of his visits to the United States. Grand Master Ip Ching honored Sifu Chan with the rank of Master by the U.S. Ip Ching Ving Tsun Athletic Association in 1996 for his proficiency in instructing. Sifu Chan is also a founder member and current director of the International Wing Chun Martial Art Association, and his Wing Chun knowledge is highly sought for.
