Sam Spacey, who previously created the critically acclaimed Epica and Epica Bass virtual synthesizers, released PHAEDRA Redux.
PHAEDRA Redux replaces the old version, which required an activation number and operated in the free Kontakt Player. PHAEDRA Redux requires Kontakt 6.6.0 and will not work on the free Kontakt Player. The updated version includes all of the sounds from the original PHAEDRA. The revamped Kontakt GUI is the most noticeable modification.
PHAEDRA Redux has a gorgeous new UI with incredible sound-shaping capabilities.
PHAEDRA is the greatest virtual analogue synth, with over 4GB of sounds, 20,000 samples, and 720 patches.
Unsatisfied with the lack of raw musical power in virtual emulations of VSTi analogue synthesizers, producer Sam Spacey embarked on a three-year adventure to create the ultimate synth, PHAEDRA.
Each of the 20,000 samples has been tweaked and looped by hand with the same attention to detail as a large symphonic sample library, with loops being quite long to extract that delightful analogue randomness magic. To prevent aliasing within the instrument’s range, nearly every single preset has each individual note sampled.
We created a library that is a complete synthesizer in its own right by pushing Kontakt’s engine to its absolute limits. This collection is not centered on any one electronic genre and would suit any style.
