Date of the original program: December 8, 2018 DescriptionDescription:
Few couple interventions are as graceful and lovely as the lovers’ stance. Therapists use it as a surgical table to remove and fix deep, implicit memory problems between spouses and, by proxy, original childhood caregivers. The therapist “casts” each partner into roles suited for the therapist’s chosen therapeutic agenda. Though the lovers stance is as it sounds, it is also the caregiver-infant pose, the PietĂ pose (holding a deceased loved one), and the inner child pose. This presentation will also show how to get into and out of the stance, which is a three-step procedure.
Objectives of Education:
List at least four alternative methods to pair up.
Explain the three processes for bringing partners into and out of the practice.
Show how to get your companions into the stance.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
