DescriptionDescription:
Is there any question that when individuals are attentive and responsive, they learn more quickly via experience? Or that it is easier to evolve when hard perceptions and experience limits are loosened and redefined? Hypnosis emphasizes the malleability of subjective experience and gives people the ability to live their best lives. Many people used to think about hypnosis as the “crazy cousin nobody wanted at the therapeutic family picnic.” However, as hypnosis’ contributions to neuroscience (particularly neurogenesis and neuroplasticity), epigenetics, clinical efficacy, and interpersonal dynamics have risen in relevance, hypnosis may be characterized as a basic component of excellent therapy in whatever manner it is presented. Even if you don’t professionally practice hypnosis, understanding the hypnotic basis of your language and procedures might help you become a better therapist. We will look at the power of optimistic expectation, the relevance of multi-level processing of ideas, the possibility of automatic, non-conscious reactions, and the encouraging of malleability in perception in this session. There will be a group hypnosis experience.
Objectives of Education:
Describe some of the most important contributions that hypnosis research has made to the area of psychotherapy.
Examine some of the key elements of good treatment and how hypnosis might enhance them.
Demonstrate the benefits of hypnosis for improved problem-solving abilities.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
