Conference on Brief Therapy 2006 Christine Guilloux, D.E.S.S. in Psychology
Format: Audio Only Time: 57:14
As Originally Aired on December 7th, 2006
DescriptionDescription:
Our essence, the stuff we’re made of, the hero within, shapes us in ways that vary depending on whether we’re the subject, patient, client, supervisor, supervised, or therapist. After making a list of the central figures we have adopted and the narratives that serve as our primary allegories, we will go on a journey to learn more about the various influences on our founding and development, both positive and negative. This seminar will show us how to apply them to the inner transformation sought by therapy.
Pedagogical Aims:
As a means of elucidating how we can draw upon heroic role models as tools for personal development.
We need to specify how to employ these heroes in the service of our therapeutic aims.Depending on the circumstances, sessions may be edited for content and privacy.

Christine Guilloux’s clinical social psychology training was complemented by the Ericksonian hypnosis and systemic therapy she received at the Palo Alto School, as well as other approaches like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing (SE), narrative approaches, and energy psychology. She regularly hosts seminars and workshops for medical practitioners in France and elsewhere, teaching them about hypnosis and integrative medicine. The doctor also holds a position as a lecturer in narrative medicine at Paris’s prestigious UniversitĂ© RenĂ© Descartes. Due to its “global” perspective, it is able to consider your pain, your problems in their proper context, and the interactions between you and your surroundings (family, couple, work). Teenagers, grownups, and whole families are all welcome in her home. She’ll be there for you if you’re dealing with issues like anxiety, phobias, obsessions, stress, workplace hardship, poor time management, scattered thought, low self-esteem, PTSD, sleep problems, conflicted relationships, or a breakdown in communication.
