In an increasingly global and diverse world, a multicultural understanding of human experience is critical, particularly for health care providers. Spirituality and religion are important cultural elements. Spirituality and religion play a significant role in shaping how people are, how they deal with birth and death, marriage and family, and so on, as well as what disease is and how to treat it.

Name Three different approaches to using those various perspectives in psychotherapy.
