DescriptionDescription:
Hypnosis has been demonstrated to improve the benefits of therapy in general, and CBT in particular, making it more effective and lasting. The scientific literature on hypnosis is vast, rich, and interesting, addressing problems like as information processing, the interaction between the brain and the mind, the dynamics of interpersonal influence, and how ideas become realities. Whether we aspire to become “hypnotists” or not, as practicing clinicians, we have a lot to gain from studying hypnosis. The function of suggestion – influencing communication – is so fundamental to any therapeutic strategy that ignoring, avoiding, or underestimating its importance in the treatment process compromises our capacity to practice therapy successfully.
Objectives of Education:
To explain the application of hypnosis to improve client receptivity and treatment efficacy.
To explain how hypnosis may be used to address certain cognitive distortions.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
