This course will demonstrate how compassionately playful client-therapist interactions can encourage transcendence from suffering, solution expansion, and professionally appropriate intimacy while discouraging states of maladaptive isolation by using theory, clinical examples, techniques, PowerPoint illustrations, quotations, and experiential metaphorical fantasy.

Objectives of Education:

List two ways in which humorous interactions in the treatment context may aid clients who are experiencing isolative reactions to their discomforts.
To describe two compassionately playful strategies that may be utilized with clients who are facing pain, limits, or trauma.
