For almost 30 years, Dr. Ronald D. Siegel has served as a part-time Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. He has been practicing mindfulness meditation for years and is now on the faculty at the Institute of Meditation and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Siegel has a private practice in Lincoln, Massachusetts and also lectures globally on the topics of mindfulness, psychotherapy, and mind-body healing. He has spent many years working in community mental health with inner-city children and their families. He has written several books for professionals, including Mindfulness and Psychotherapy and Wisdom and Compassion in Psychotherapy: Deepening Mindfulness in Clinical Practice, and he has coauthored the new professional text, Sitting Together: Essential Skills for Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy.
