If you work with couples, you’re probably familiar with infidelity. And, because mending after infidelity is difficult, we need have a clear map of the region. We’ll talk about how to deal with intense emotions, whether to discuss the details of the betrayal, how to begin rebuilding trust in the aftermath of the discovery, whether to have clinical ultimatums about ending affairs, how to handle setbacks, and how to deal with residual feelings for the affair partner. We’ll go through a step-by-step treatment approach and talk about how to personalize it to each couple’s specific requirements.
Objectives of Education:
Examine what the unfaithful and betrayed spouses must do to recover from infidelity.
Discuss and practice what to do if someone discloses anything during an individual session.
Identify and explore techniques for overcoming the most typical roadblocks in assisting couples to heal from infidelity.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
