Dr. Daniel Moran, BCBA-D Seminars and products related to: 7Daniel J. Moran, PhD, BCBA-D, is a former president of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), a global ACT organization with over 8,000 members. He co-wrote the first Acceptance and Commitment Therapy case conceptualization manual, ACT in Practice (New Harbinger), and served on the first ACT training committee. He also recently published Committed Action in Practice (New Harbinger) and will discuss it at this workshop.
Dr. Moran, a recognized ACT Trainer in the ACBS community, has an engaging training style that has led to him being invited as a keynote speaker for many events over the last decade. He has also appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Network, TLC, and The Discovery Channel, where he discussed the treatment of a variety of clinical disorders. He has co-authored several articles and book chapters with CBT pioneer Albert Ellis and ACT pioneer Steven Hayes.
Dr. Moran works with therapists from all over the world to help them treat patients in their clinics. His passion is for applying ACT principles outside of the clinic, such as in the boardroom or on construction sites. Pickslyde Consulting was founded in order to bring mindfulness and value-directed commitment skills to the workplace in order to improve safety, innovation, and leadership. Dr. Moran has used ACT in work implementations and clinical training sites across six continents and all 50 states.
